"Trivial Chances" - credit for the title goes to JP
In this mini-game you will answer trivia questions. The theme is "First and last."
Researching answers will not take much time, because each round will only have one "first and last" question. You WILL want to get it right! Question example: "What are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet?" So, each round will have one question and the answer will be sent by PM to the host. Each round will last 24 hours.
The twist, to continue the theme of "first and last”: Each round, the first and last players who submit correct answers will be safe from elimination. This way hopefully players will not feel pressured to be here when a round is posted.
Elimination from a round will go as follows:
No submission or incorrect answers:
1) No submission of an answer – automatic elimination that round because of inactivity
2) Incorrect answer submitted – ineligible to be safe in the round. Players who send in wrong answers will be placed in the middle range between the first and last payers to send correct answers.
All players send in correct answers:
3) The first and last players to submit within the 24 hour period will be safe that round.
One of the "middle" players to submit will be eliminated by a random, preset number for the order of sending.
Ex: 10 players all submit correct answers. Player 1 (first) and player 10 (last) will be safe. One player who sent in 2nd through 9th will be eliminated. Suppose that 7 was the random number preset for that round, then the 7th player to send will be eliminated - so a little bit of luck, strategy, and chaos here.
When the game reaches the final 2 players, 5 trivia questions will be given in the last round. The players will send in the answer to each question separately, and decide the order and timing of sending their answers. Point values will be assigned according to a preset random timing of submission for each question. The player who scores the most points will become the winner and receive a HOF.
Registration is open to any number of players and will last until Sunday, May 4 at 11:59 PM EDT.
At least 24 hour notice will be given before the game starts. This game will not be fun without active people, so please make sure you are committed to playing when signing up.
