Leg 5 -- Interview

[JP]

1. How do you feel you did this round?
JP: We did good. We could have done better, but it was that horrible horrible Roadblock that prevented us from getting at least 2nd place. And I think watching from the sidelines is very difficult, seeing your partner suffer and you can't do a thing about it. Heather is a trooper!

2. In what ways do you think you can improve?
JP: I guess we have to plan on who's going to do the Roadblocks on the remaining legs. We need a little luck too with the flights.

3. Are you developing any alliances/rivalries, yet?
JP: Hmmmm, Heather, maybe we should offer Aaron and Drew an alliance? I'm not so sure about this, but they seem to be "weaker" than the other 2 teams, so it's wiser to bring them to the Final 3.

4. Who do you think your biggest competition is?
JP: cricket and lovetrivia. They kicked our butts in the Roadblock. For 2 50-something women, I'm amazed how good they are in this race!

5. What do you think of Josh and Sally's elimination?
JP: I'm sad that Josh and Sally got eliminated. They seem to really want to do this race. But, getting eliminated is part of the game, so they just have to aceept it.

6. With 4 teams left, who do you think will make up the Final 3?
JP: The Final 3 would be us, cricket and lovetrivia, and Steve and Stevey.

7. Do you feel more motivated to win now that we are down to 4?
JP: I'm always gunning for the win in every leg, so rest assured that Heather and I will bring out our best in each of the remaining legs to win this race.

8. How do you see the rest of the race going?
JP: The rest of the race will be more cutthroat and brutal than ever. I hope I we can keep our stress level into a minimum and focus on winning this competition.

[Heather]

1. How do you feel you did this round?

Heather : Haaaa. I feel like JP did too much this round. That roadblock was evil. I thought for sure we were going to be eliminated, but JP wouldn't let me give up.

2. In what ways do you think you can improve?
JP: I guess we have to plan on who's going to do the Roadblocks on the remaining legs. We need a little luck too with the flights.
Heather : Well I might have overcome the bad luck on flights, so that's good. We just need to speed up on the Roadblocks and make sure we survive.

3. Are you developing any alliances/rivalries, yet?
JP: Hmmmm, Heather, maybe we should offer Aaron and Drew an alliance? I'm not so sure about this, but they seem to be "weaker" than the other 2 teams, so it's wiser to bring them to the Final 3.
Heather : I would like that... I know Aaron from another game, but I really have no idea who Drew is. All I know is that Drew brings them down, so it'd be a good idea to drag them to the Final 3.

Heather : See? That's what i said... they're scary. They're like the bowling moms. That's how good they are.

JP: I'm sad that Josh and Sally got eliminated. They seem to really want to do this race. But, getting eliminated is part of the game, so they just have to aceept it.
Heather : It was sad that they were eliminated... but where did they go? I never saw them on at clue time... I guess they just got behind.

6. With 4 teams left, who do you think will make up the Final 3?
JP: The Final 3 would be us, cricket and lovetrivia, and Steve and Stevey.
Heather : I agree. This will be one tough final 3.

7. Do you feel more motivated to win now that we are down to 4?
JP: I'm always gunning for the win in every leg, so rest assured that Heather and I will bring out our best in each of the remaining legs to win this race.
Heather : We just gotta keep going. If we try our best, we'll do our best.

8. How do you see the rest of the race going?
JP: The rest of the race will be more cutthroat and brutal than ever. I hope I we can keep our stress level into a minimum and focus on winning this competition.
Heather : OMG, I see more breakdowns at Roadblocks. This isn't going to get any easier, that's for sure.
