Chain Leader Challenge #5
(I'm posting this early so that you can understand the rules better, and I realized I need to change the start time for this challenge for it to be fair for everyone.)
Welcome to your fifth Chain Leader Challenge. The winner of this challenge will be the Chain Leader for this round, keeping him/her safe from elimination in this Cycle, and will also lead the Chain Breaking Ceremony, where one of you will be eliminated from the game.
For this challenge, we'll do something complicated. Each of you will get a spot on a virtual "clock". Each of you will also "hold" one link. At the start of the challenge, each player will move "clockwise" once per hour. If a player catches another player, the caught player is eliminated from the challenge, and the player that caught him/her will get the eliminated person's link. At the end of 48 hours, whoever has the most links will win the challenge.
I've randomized your position on the clock.

Here's some specific rules that you must keep in mind.
1. Each player can only move once per hour, and they can only move one "hour" at a time (if you are at 12, your next move is towards 1).
2. Each player has an assigned minute. This is the only time they can make a move. Example: Alex can only move every 9:00 am/pm, 10:00 am/pm, etc. while Anthony can only move every 9:30 am/pm, 10:30 am/pm, etc. If a player missed their minute (even by 1 minute, no excuses), their move doesn't count.
3. If player A catches player B, player A will get player B's link as well as B's "time". So if player A has a :20 time and B has :30, player A's new time will be :20 and :30. What does it mean? Player A has now 2 "chances" to make a post every hour BUT player A can still only post once every hour. Example: If A misses his 10:20 post, he can still post at 10:30, but if A already posted on 10:20, his next post is on 11:20. If A posted on 10:30, his next post can be 11:20 or 11:30. So the more player you catch, the more "chances" you get to make your move.
4. The game ends in 48 hours, or whenever we have one player remaining (meaning s/he caught all the players). If more than one player remains after the 48 hours, we'll do a tiebreaker which are:
a. Whoever has the most links (caught the most players) wins
b. If two or more players have the most links, whoever reached their number of links first wins.
c. If no one caught anybody, you will... vote for the next Chain Leader.
I just realized that for this challenge to be fair, the start time must be random. So I used randomizer.org to get a random hour (1-12, meaning the next 12 hours), and a random minute (:10, :20, :30, etc) for the start of this challenge, and you may start making your moves on:
Oct 17, 4:20 am EST
This challenge ends on Oct 19, 2006, 4:20 am EST
Jason, since you were the Chain Leader for the past round, you will be sitting this one out.
Just a request, for this to be easy to track make your moves like this:
5:00 am
12 A :00 (1 link)

02 B :10 (1 link)

04 C :20 (1 link)
