Who will be the REAL Survivor?
It could be you.
It could be you.
In a public opinion poll conducted at the end of the twentieth century, Americans agreed that World War II was the most important event of the century.
It's breadth is wide and it's brutality unopposed even today. This game will attempt to discuss just a small amount of the themes, events, and people involved in World War II. This is not a history lesson and you will not be graded on your knowledge of the war. This, rather, is a exploration in a culturally defining phenomena known as total war. All nations involved mobilized their populace to create terrible killing machines that would slaughter over fifty million by the end of 1945. More then half of those killed were innocent civilians, often murdered due to notions of racial and national superiority. Even the Allies, fighting "The Good War" were not innocent, undoubtedly violating the Geneva Conventions because of their own misguided beliefs.
Each person had a completely different experience. Together, they defined the most brutal and violent event in human history. But there was much more then brutality and violence. There was pride, love, and, yes, even happiness.
Survivor Chronicles: The World at War will be divided into fourteen different rounds. Each round will be represented by a defining moment in World War II. Some of these moments you've probably heard of, some of them you may have not. The nature of each event will indicate the type of challenge, twists, and other miscellaneous items within the round.
So, if you're a history buff - apply. If you're a gamer - apply. Hell, if you're anyone - apply! This game will be a blast (pun intended).
Note: Survivor Chronicles: The World at War will require active participation in challenges and confessional. Many challenges will be live or selectively live - you or your tribe will pick a time to do the challenge - and usually will not last more than a hour. Selective-live challenges in the tribal stage will oftentimes not require nor need the utilization of all the tribe members and thus allow for a certain amount of flexibility. There will also be a few 24 hour challenges which vary in the need for participation. By and large, though, there are a very small number of the "pure posting" challenges that most of us abhor (i.e. relays and simple posting). In fact, most challenges that will involve posting will be live or selective-live, and limited to only a hour or two of mindless effort. If you do not think you will be able to participate in many of these tasks, do not bother to apply.
