Alright everyone, Yang has to go to work in 30 minutes which may not be enough time to set up your tribes. However, confessionals are now open to everyone and the opening challenge is officially over.
The Highest scorer for the regular players was Michael Steele with a score of 2186.
The Highest scorer for the invitees was Walt Kowalski with a score of 1985.
You will both be receiving a bonus card which is your reward that was promised for the high scorers of each party.
There are 3 bonus cards to choose from and Michael gets first pick since he had the higher score of the 2.
Your choices are A Move-UP Card, A Move-Down Card, and A Switch Card.
Only the 2 of you will get to see the effects of these cards. and the 3rd card that is not picked will be destroyed.
Now...whats with the cards you all ask? Well that is one of 2 twists that will be happening right at the start of the game *grins*
Your first twist is called "The Pack of Sins". Some of you HOE veterans may remember the 7 sins challenge that was popular, well Yang has expanded upon that to make a pack of cards around them.
Have any of you ever collected baseball cards? football cards? magic cards? or anything of the sort? Well if you have, then you know that these cards come in packs...some packs have 5 cards, 6, 7, or whatever depending on the pack.
Well Yang recently bought a pack of "Evil Unleashed" a new card game that can be found in hell, and it contained 10 cards.
Those were the 3 bonus cards that Michael Steele and Walk Kowalski have to choose from..and then what Yang is calling the Pack of Sins....7 cards, 1 for each of the 7 deadly sins.
So there is a gluttony card, a wrath card, a lust card, a pride card, a sloth card, a greed card, and an envy card.
So there are a whole slew of cards for each of you to try and obtain...and YES, you can collect more than one card at once.
Each of these cards have great effects, but they are sins, so they also have drawbacks. Some drawbacks are pretty big, but on those cards, the effect is also pretty big...Yang tried to balance each card as best as he could.
How do you get these cards? Well once this twist takes effect officially (either next week or the week after...weeks 2 or 3) a card will be up for grabs every week in a special challenge until they have all been won. First place takes the card that is up for grabs, and theoretically, if you won all 7 challenges then you will hold all 7 cards and be well on your way to winning this game if you hold that much power in your hands.
Yang will set up a poll each week and let you all vote on what card you want to compete for that week. Each challenge is pretty simple in concept, but some challenges will take longer to complete, but that will also be partially determined by when you want to play for each card.
So sit back and enjoy the ride because this isn't the only trick Yang has up his sleeve....In fact, when Yang gets home from work about 10PM, he will put you all into your tribes and give you the full results of the opening challenge as well as unveil a second twist to start the game *grins*.
Note: Michael and Walt, you can choose your cards now if you wish, but Yang would strongly advise you wait to hear this 2nd twist before you do because the cards will make more sense after hearing that twist.
