IC #7--Further Instructions Up!

Ok, welcome to your next immunity Challenge.


This challenge is actually a debate themed challenge in which Yang will be the judge.

This will actually work differently because you aren't necessarily competing as a tribe in this one.

Yang has a list of several topics for each of you to debate on.

How it will work is this...Yang will post a statement like "Yang is the greatest player of all time"

and then there will be a Team "For" which will argue that the statement is valid and a Team "Against" which will argue against that statement.

Yang will then judge what team posed the best argument and give them a point.. Best 2 out of 3 will win that round and the other team will be eliminated. Then the remaining players of the winning team will split up again into For or Against to debate on new topics until we have 1 winner.

Note: The final 3 debate will have 5 topics and be best of 5, but if there is a tie we will have co-winners.

That 1 winner wins immunity for their whole tribe, and then the other 3 tribes will see Yang and tribal council, meaning we could have 2 people leaving this round depending on what tribe wins.

So First order of business...

You must split yourselves into Teams...simply sign up like a regular registration list for the team you will compete with for this round (you do not have to sign onto the same side as your actual tribemates).

Then once this list is filled or 12 has passed (whatever is first) Yang will post the rest of the instructions and topics then as well as randomize any remaining players onto a side.

You have 12hours to choose a side (note: you will have 24 hrs for round 1, 24 hours for round 2, and then 12-24 hours for the final debate).

Yes, this is a lengthy challenge a bit, but yang thinks it will be a fun one.

Ok, those who didn’t sign up by now have been randomly assigned. As you can see, the random generator eliminated Veronica Mars.

Here is how it will work, Yang will give you 3 topics. Each team is allowed 3 posts total per topic meaning if Danny argues for Topic A, then 2 more posts are allowed for that topic. You can wait for the other team to “counter” before your team posts again, but you do not have to. Another thing, one person can post up to twice per topic, but can not make all 3 posts for that topic.

Note: YANG WILL MAKE A SEPARATE DEBATE THREAD FOR THIS CHALLENGE AND PLAYERS ARE NOT TO POST IN THIS THREAD AT ALL UNLESS IT IS FOR THE DEBATE. EVEN IF SOMEONE SAYS “GOOD LUCK” IN THAT THREAD THEN IT WILL COUNT AS ONE OF THAT TEAMS’ POSTS!

You are not allowed to modify posts either.

The best argument for each topic will win and you can argue multiple topics at once…meaning that you don’t have to wait till the arguing is over for one topic to start the next, so for example….Team For could post first for all 3 topics at the same time and then Team Against could respond to them all.

However, each topic must be labeled in the post so Yang knows what topic it is for (ex: Topic A….”I believe…..” etc).

Here is a brief example of the debate…
Fake Team for: Bill, Mike……Fake Team Against…..Joe, Tim

Fake Topic A: Bill Murray is the funniest actor in the business.

Bill Posts “definitely true, he is a great actor and provides a lot of comedic influence in his movies.

Tim Posts “Bullshit. Have you ever seen Lost In Translation? Worst movie ever made….point proven”
Then Team For and Team Agaisnt would both have 2 more posts each….make sense?

Ok, here are your debate topics for round 1. You have 24 hours to debate on these topics and can post your thoughts at any time without having to wait for Yang or the other team. At the end of the 24 hour limit you can no longer post and any posts made after that will not be counted in Yang’s decision. Then Yang will post his decision and move onto the next round.

Topic A: television has a negative influence on society

Topic B: The use of performance-enhancing drugs in sports should be legalized

Topic C: All Schools should require their students to wear uniforms



There, that’s a good variety of topics. Make sure to provide details, evidence, etc to make the most compelling argument.

Remember, 24 hours for this round.
